| Description: |
| Momentum based on relative price rating alongside increased earnings year over year.
Right now I am focused on one year holding period though my sentiment changes along with the market.
Healthcare and Energy are solid as well as a few IT stalwarts that enable me to rest easy for the most part.
Allscripts is a leading edge technology company within the healthcare industry that offers software to create electronic records of all of the paper reports filling up doctor's offices and creating an atmosphere that lacks the organization of a professionally compiled piece of software. It is good for doctors and good for patients as well as pharmacies as it takes some of the pressure off of our brains and installs them with the software in the machines enabling more concise, accurate response to the patient's needs.
They recently posted positive earnings for the year (2004) past and are scheduled to increase those earnings on an upward sloping curve before, inevitably leveling off at some as of now unforseen level in the future. But the fact remains that they are the leading provider of this software in the United States (the world?) and are poised for rapid growth into the future (they are classified as a value stock in my portfolio, micro class) as they tap into this huge market potential. The size of their deals has grown on average at a steady rate and they just signed their largest deal to date and announced it yesterday. All this data on top of press coming off the lips of the President in the State of the Union address for exactly this technology as a necessity moving on into the future has propped up the stock price and boosted the company standing in the eyes of institutional investors of late. I am excited as to the prospects this company holds for the future and am proud to share that it is the number one holding of my top performing fund, Masterodisaster's Mutual Fund, a name coined according to my fondness of the syntactical resonance moreso than any factor pertenant to my actual life let alone my investment style.
If you have taken the time to read this far, I thank you and you have been granted a unique insight into my being I have revealed to few. |
